INGREDIENTS

– Makes 2 x 12” x 15” Rectangular Cakes & 2 x 9” Round Cakes –
4 ½ cups unsalted butter
9 cups sugar –
4 ½ teaspoons vanilla –
18 eggs
4 ½ cups milk
11 ¼ cups flour –
4 tablespoons baking powder –
2 ¼ teaspoon salt –

BUTTERCREAM – – 2 times this recipe

800g sugar (approx 1.75 lbs) –
8 large egg whites
2lb unsalted butter, room temperature
2 teaspoosn pure vanilla extract –
1 cup water
